Located in Docklands, O’Brien Group Arena is one of Melbourne’s genuinely unique event venues. Not at the top of people minds for a function, unless you’re into ice skating or tuff enough to play ice hockey and frequent the place (formerly Icehouse) regularly. But, with 2 Olympic size skating rinks, they have some truly amazing entertainment and participation options on offer.
The 1000 seat stadium is a great way to host clients or friends for match play ice hockey, or there are several other private function rooms for presentations or parties away from the crowd.
There’s a bar, a cafe, and numerous activities for children’s parties or team building starting with ice skating, curling, skate school, bumper balls, and ice hockey.
Function Food and beverage packages on offer range from platters, buffet, grazing, and canape’ menus.
Getting your skates on… to O’Brien Group Arena couldn’t be any easier with Public Transport or by car. There’s plenty of parking for vehicles at District Docklands (Formerly Harbour Town) Shopping Centre or there are a number of trams which travel to Waterfront City – stop D-11. Catch tram #70 from Flinders Street, tram #86 from Bourke Street or the city circle tram to the last stop. Walk along Docklands Drive and turn right at Pearl River Road.
